Miss Anna recently moved to the U.S. from Italy. She joined our school in November 2017. Previously, Miss Anna volunteered for different projects involving youth and education. When she was a teenager, she worked as a volleyball coach and counselor in summer camps. More recently, she organized projects for school support of primary and middle school kids. While working as an aupair for an Irish family, she travelled to Brazil with an NGO, organizing activities for teenagers and young children. In the last few years, she has been volunteering more specifically with refugee communities, in Morocco and Italy: working with families, teaching Italian language to young asylum seekers and taking care of children coming from refugee camps.
During her spare time, she likes to spend a lot of her time outdoors. Hiking is her favorite. She really enjoys taking long nature walks, and spends a lot of time jogging, climbing and biking. Aside from her outdoor time, she enjoys traveling, reading, visual arts, theater and music.
She is passionate about human rights and believes in the importance of education as a basic human right. She believes that education holds the power to change lives and communities for the better, which is why she really enjoys her time working at Montgomery Montessori School.
