Hello my friends! My name is Secily Guo. I am originally from Beijing, China but have studied and worked in the U.S. for about 10 years. I have a M.A. in Public Relations from Michigan State University and a M.Ed in World Languages Education from the University of Oklahoma. As a licensed Chinese teacher and a Montessorian with the AMS 3-6 credential, I have accumulated years of experience working with children from diverse family and cultural backgrounds. Motivated by the passion towards Montessori education and the belief of life-long learning, currently I am pursuing the AMS Infant Toddler credential at Princeton Center for Teacher Education. I am eager to nurture children’s curiosity, independence, concentration, mental order and joy in learning. I am thrilled to work at Montgomery Montessori School and dedicate myself to guiding toddlers on an amazing life journey. Beyond the classroom, I am an adventurer at heart, exploring the world and picking up hobbies like hiking, cooking, singing, kayaking, and traveling. I love spending quality time with friends and family (my husband and my dog).
